The rule asks for the marking on both sides of the power unit. Cab doors are where it normally goes. It sets no letter height and does not ask for an MC number, city and state, phone number, or logo, so we leave those off. Some states add their own rules. Check yours.

Before you order

Is 2.5 inches big enough?

The federal rule sets no letter height. It says the marking must be readable from 50 feet in daylight while the truck is stationary. Two inches is what the industry uses to meet that, and ours are 2.5.

USDOT number or MC number?

USDOT. That is the number the door rule asks for. Your MC number, EIN, and insurance paperwork stay in the cab.

Which name do I use?

The legal name on your MCS-150, or one trade name listed there. Spell it the same way, including LLC or INC if it is part of the name.

How fast will I have it?

We cut your kit after payment and ship within a few business days to any address in the lower 48. Shipping is included.

What if I type it wrong?
